# Getting Started

Basic instructions explaining you how to register, download and extract required files

**Please Note:** Heron Account is required. If you already have an account on LukeAirTool or flyLAT. You do not need to create an account.

Visit [flyLAT ](https://flylat.net/signup)to create an account

## **Downloading flyLAT**

You can get flyLAT by visiting [flyLAT.net](https://flylat.net) or use our Heron Launcher (Coming Soon)

1. Head over to [flylat.net](https://flylat.net) and locate download option
2. Hit the download button, you will be navigated to flightsim.to
3. Download the zip
4. Once the zip has been downloaded, simply extract **ALL** files from the zip somewhere on your PC.

**DO NOT** install it in Program Files, Windows folder, Temp folder. Best practice, create a folder somewhere safe on your pc like **X:/flylat** (x represents your hard drive letter)

4. Double Click on flyLAT Connect.exe

You will be then greated with the login screen. Once you login, you will see this

Create Airline - This will take you to [`creating your airline page`](/flylat-connect/installation/creating-your-airline-ceo-only.md)

Join Airline - This will give you a list of airlines (image below)

You can request to join these airlines. After doing so, CEO will recieve an email which they will need to accept you. You can apply to how many airlines you choose so. You can also review who you have joined by heading over to [OUR PORTAL](https://flylat.net/directory) and login.
