Cargo preflight is bit different from all the other flight setups. You first get this screen which you can choose what job you have selected. You must have selected a job in your [trader management ](/flylat-connect/cargo/trader-management.md)page.&#x20;

Let's just assume you already have taken a contract or you already have access to a company route. You will need to click on the route or contract you want to fly. A list of aircrafts that are available for this route. Now remember that the aircraft needs to be a cargo aircraft.

<figure><img src="https://2884336375-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FLcLpA0hA10jO1DUnAd9V%2Fuploads%2FftxhNE8xCRXKvywC9bD0%2Fcargo%20route%20aircraft%20select.png?alt=media&amp;token=5fb22bb1-05b6-476c-b6de-539c16d271d2" alt=""><figcaption><p>available aircrafts</p></figcaption></figure>

In this screenshot above you can see two rows. One that states that the aircraft is 'on site' and another one that states 'ferry required'. Now the one that is on site, you can fly directly from where the contract requires you to fly. [Ferry](broken://pages/RZ0Mc0fkQHinjrrKudRD) required option means that you will need to fly an empty leg to the destination. So your ideal aircraft is to choose the aircraft that is close to your departure. Ferrying an aircraft will activate automatically. Once you reach the departure of your route, you will need to rerun cargo flight setup and then you can select the aircraft you just moved.
